Oh. I’ve made the same comparison before, but the Japanese and Koreans had 10-15 years of getting the market fit before they succeeded in the US, let alone globally.
That said, I’m looking forward to seeing where the Chinese OEMs are within the next 10 years. And how they handle privacy issues.

Consumer electronics and shoes ≠ cars but point taken. Also Polestar was designed from the onset as a global marque and, while great, isn’t doing too hot in the market last time I checked.

When they’re sold on Europe and there’s an honest review and tear down, I’ll accept your premise. But as someone who’s been covering the auto industry for two decades and have driven 8 CDM vehicles, I’ll be skeptical. But agreed on the cyber truck.

Well, it’s also because they’re still not up to US market standards and an influencer doing a review of a meticulously prepared loaner is not a good comparison
