So that when they (Smith and co.) lie about the results, no one can speak the truth. It’s a truly unbelievably blatant move.

Last year, I spent an average of 30 minutes per child on mandatory ‘reading’ tests. That’s 11 hours. We did this twice. So, 22 hours spent on tests that gave me no new info—already knew who needed help. I could have used that time to work on critical literacy skills. Another waste of money! (1)

Chronic underfunding and overcrowding will do that. ( add sarcasm)

UPC has greased the skids on this one. It is so apparently a rigged proposal! Beyond appalled by this government!

Vimy Ridge is one of the most spectacular monuments to Canada’s fallen soldiers. It is simply awe-inspiring. Pictures, while beautiful, do not do it justice.

I still would like to know where they will find 3000 teachers. Teachers are leaving the profession due to poor working conditions caused by years of inadequate funding. There are not enough substitute teachers to meet the daily demand…

She and her gov’t should go “work” at a school for a couple of weeks. Teachers in support roles (admin, learning support, etc) pick up the slack when there:
-aren’t enough subs available,
-is conflict between kids,
-are parental concerns,
-are bus issues,
-the toilet overflows, …

Despite the UPC cutting funding, we should be starting recall requests for every member of the UPC. They are NOT working for their electorate, and their policies are not making the lives of Albertans better. Quite the opposite in fact.
