No praying mantis were harmed in the making of this video

Poor lady probably has PTSD now watching a plant destroyed with a column of fire sounding like a jet engine

There's a draft best current practice to provide more comprehensive controls to protect IOT devices.
July 24, 2025 at 11:05 AM
IOT devices have quite predictable DNS queries which leads them to be prone to targeted attacks. Guides to manufacturers that are looking for implementation assistance this may reduce nation state ORB-like capabilities as well as removing amplification and redirection attacks
July 24, 2025 at 11:05 AM
Does #IOT need #DNS guidelines for #cybersecurity and #privacy?
July 24, 2025 at 11:05 AM
Agenda item 1: information gathering across interested parties.

Agenda item 2: identify goals and plan next steps for meetings
July 24, 2025 at 9:01 AM
Establishing #encrypted connections from recursive to authoritative servers is a difficult problem. The fundamental flaw in delegations from parent to child was never solved, but there was a standard published on opportunistic connections

This is a top priority as it's being used for censorship
July 24, 2025 at 9:01 AM
And a very welcome good morning to all at #IETF123, today attending a side meeting to connect authoritative DOT/DOQ parties which is all things #DNS. As usual, the tag well...

#cybersecurity #networking #technology
July 24, 2025 at 8:37 AM
Whoa, speedy! The authors are looking for a full implementation prior to #IETF124 in Montreal, right now is not in a last call state.

INT-ADD wonders about their relevance in the future as there aren't many I-Ds being submitted
July 23, 2025 at 2:20 PM
If a server gives a chain where the responding server is included in the response chain following... how do you identify the current server? The client needs to keep a current list of IPs returned and if any lists returned is identical, now you know you've met the loop
July 23, 2025 at 2:20 PM
So let's talk about handling encrypted #DNS server redirection!!
July 23, 2025 at 2:20 PM
Current #cybersecurity considerations of ANS and future considerations
July 23, 2025 at 1:15 PM
What about in times of conflict or naming convention conflict?

Any agent, any protocol can register with the current ANS implementation
July 23, 2025 at 1:15 PM
Next up: AI agent discovery. How would an IBM and Google A2A agent on different protocols? There may need to be a protocol adapter layer

The naming structure may allow for unique capabilities to describe agents during the navigation on what versions and capabilities they are looking for
July 23, 2025 at 1:15 PM
The last is the scary #futurism of #technology but interestingly splits tech into functional 'task-wise' domains. This is the first speaker to talk about groups of robots and drones included in the future of #AI. Fascinating.

In short: terminologies must come first.
July 23, 2025 at 1:00 PM
The speaker raises and interesting point regarding #embedded #AI, as in, should there be multiple types of AI and their definitions moving forward in how standards are designed?

This is somewhat covered in other compliance standards like the DOD's Zero Trust Overlays, ISO27001, etc imagine domains
July 23, 2025 at 1:00 PM
Next up: #AI agent ID and authentication.
July 23, 2025 at 12:50 PM
In short on the above #6G #AI slides, I feel we are cart before the horse. Appears to be some proposals on distributed compute models, #MEC #MCP and others, but at large many of the requirements are not yet defined especially in agent to agent aka #A2A
July 23, 2025 at 12:45 PM
Pretty wild to kick off this way. Already talking about #6G without full adoption of #5G, appears there's a commission to identify requirements in a mobile edge compute (MEC) world. How might #AI at the edge benefit society?

Distributed systems are a big part of #MCP use cases.
