Pixel creates the pixel art for Avemary Rocket using EDGE2.
He’s been using this tool since the original EDGE, for nearly 30 years.
While I was taking photos, he suddenly scribbled “Uooo!” onto the canvas and I burst out laughing.
This app was used to draw the pixel art for Cave Story and Ikachan.

Panel 3 Tritica (worried): "But... so you haven't heard from him, either Tritica holds her phone up to her ear. The phone is making a "bip bip bip" sound. Tritica: "He still isn't picking up..." #StrawmanElegy part 2 after...word? (this one has pix)
Part 2 - Afterword - page 1 of 4. Holy shit we finished part 2! Yes, "we". You've been reading along, right? This has *felt* like a long journey, even tho it has *only* been 20 pages!! Tbf, the longest comic I've done was 34 strips long, over 5 years! So 40 strips over *checks notes* 77 days was pretty impressive if I say so myself (ahem). Anyway, how did you like it so far? Part 1 was about Strumano's wacky misadventures, but part 2 has a more cohesive plot and introduced some key characters. Who is your favorite?? page 2 of 4. Some fun fact: In multiple early drafts of part 2, Fina becomes a Yoga instructor. I couldn't find an interesting message with this plot in the end so I scrapped them. Here are some more early draft things that also didn't survive (can you see the remnants?): - 2 pages of Fina venting in a restaurant to a friend who's a lawyer. - Rejected in a job interview before being recruited by Dani the day after. - Being haunted by a tiny angelic Strumano. Love this gag -> (image of a panel from comic 32 panel 3) Inspired by the Frieren meme -> (image of a panel from comic 40 panel 2) page 3 of 4. (Fina's friend sketches) (Tritica sketches, with one sketch on the bottom right marked as "final") They never did play horror games :( -> (image of a panel from comic 28 panel 1) Cute Strumano (image of Strumano with Finomatic cardboard cutout from comic 26 panel 4) page 4 of 4. Special thanks to Lazcht for helping me by reading each pages before I posted them! As always, thanks for liking Strawman Elegy posts! Fina listens warily, hugging her pillow. Panel 2 Fina: "...Are you guilt tripping me into staying?" Friend (insistently): "Oh no!" "Ye of little faith!" "I was just thinking, if you have that much impact on him..." Panel 3 Friend (as echoes of the past): "Maybe all you need is..." "...to tell him how you truly feel?" Fast-forward to after Strumano's confession... (see Strawman Elegy comic 17) Fina (off-panel, sternly): "You never needed a model." Panel 4 Fina (continued): "What you need" "is..." "a girlfriend." Strawman Elegy comic 31 transcript Panel 1 The next morning. Fina is working at Monomart behind the cash register. Her boss is watching from the side. Fina (thinking): "I feel like crap." "I wish mental health day were real." Panel 2 Monomart boss urges Fina to smile with a trademark pose. Monomart boss (loudly): "Smile!" Fina pops a vein without smiling. Panel 3 Fina imagines Strumano talking about his work on his desk. Fina (off-panel, thinking): "I wonder... am I just beating Strumano up..." "...because he doesn't fight back?" Panel 4 Back to reality. Fina (off-panel, thinking): "Unlike this guy..." "Or" "Mom..." Monomart boss (deemphasized): "Smile! I said smile!"
