This is my family, and if you rock a pride flag at any time of the year, they're your family, too. They're in a camp in Sudan. Everybody is hard up right now, especially queer folks, but think for a second what it means to be trans in Sudan. So, our family needs a rescue.

Currently happening: this is a group of trans and queer people in Sudan who are being forcibly expelled from a refugee camp. There is no plan to re-house them, no community care, no nothing. Some have been relocated with donated money, some are living on borrowed time.

I know a lot of trans people, and we really are just trying to make our own way in the world as best as one can under these looming threats to disappear us from public existence.
