How do I dislike something on Bluesky?

KillIll - Creature (2/10)

Incredibly competent builds to squeaky toys and drums desperately searching for a meter. Every song is just half of a song played twice, and every half is a quarter with a pitch shift on the lead percussion. Appropriately displayed as sewage.

I have a handful of personal connections to it through college and I can guarantee you it is NOT one of the best albums of all time. I just like when the music is round and Kanye eats sweet and sour sauce.

It doesn’t hit the itch I need to call it monumental, but even amongst the twists of the trail there’s just genuinely good music in here like Clawing your Eyes Out. This album is worldly enough, and has a sentiment that I’ve yet to hear elsewhere.

This road don’t go there.
It don’t go nowhere.

-makes it to where you never really feel like you’ve moved to a new chapter. All of this builds up to I Must Die allowing the character and mangled clarity of the folktown to erode away and be replaced with the dullest of grocery store music. In a way, this project loves the west.

I can vividly imagine the setting being the Qu watching Gunsmoke and rending an entire species into gangly gecko dinosaurs with beaks that can only speak in train whistles and hollers. Chicken Legs and Calling have some downright unsettling runs, and the full project pulling from one sample pool-

People Like Us - Wide Open Spaces (9/10)

Disintegration of the identity of the American settler by movies, CMT, and people that always wanted to see them as dirty hobos. People Like Us nail the incomprehension that comes with trying to search anything historical nowadays.

Tame Impala - Deadbeat (4/10)

Incredibly poor for what I expect out of this group. Outside of Dracula, nothing infectious or at all interesting came across, and the tug at nostalgia that usually comes from Tame Impala was a wet fart of high school nostalgia. Serviceable for any novice musician.

Asking iglooghost to move over as, in the sense of entertainment and conversations on what we want, this is the expected ideal form of music that makes diversions interesting.

Come Alive, Save the Cat, Cannibal, Halo, Guiding Lights, it’s the strongest of metal that has absorbed everything that makes music great. Cartagena closing it out is just a victory lap in the way that Pendulum always nails final tracks.

Pendulum - Inertia (10/10)

Bart strangling the me that wanted to give this an 8. It’s everything the group has set alight and a continuation of our need for self discovery even when we think we have everything figured out.

Phi - The Forgotten Alley/(Beyond) The Forgotten Alley (5/10)

Persistent Repetition of Phrases without the persistence, the repetition, or the phrases. I would fail to make a distinction between the og and remake if I was forced, and the mixing overall is just not there yet.

Phi - Amidst the Abyss (6/10)

In one ear and out the other, but I like the way the pads sounded and will definitely be putting it into the "background noise for work" queue. If only Dim Trenches didn't end so jarringly.

I am in tears writing this. This is one of the most beautiful things I have ever listened to, and it is horrifying to imagine that Phi knows our place in this world better than 99.999% of the net worth of it.

Thank you so much.

A cyclical life that comprehends what that life is, a life that escapes the base of survival and breeding for genes, a life that wants to prove that we have done the air we breath some justice and it is right in front of you just open your fucking eyes

We are taught by forces attempting to obfuscate themselves that the average human life is toil, that we are pieces of a machine that only want to survive by a quota. Any amount of optimism, any amount of hope tells us what people really are: they are life.
November 19, 2025 at 11:29 PM
Amidst all of our grifters, our AI purgatory, our century of humiliation, our glory is often hidden from us until it is too late to truly appreciate. Our wonders, our motivation, our dreams, we are pushed down in an effort to keep us motivated for mundanity and managerial approval.
November 19, 2025 at 11:29 PM
All of that leads into the last ten minutes: a perfect acceptance of who we are. A slideshow of human achievement, and indisputable evidence of our goodness. A perspective of understanding that we can leave this world with an "I was there" and our future generations will be alright.

It is honestly insane how triumphant parts of this track are, especially near the middle where you are exposed to what almost maps to 80s pop (even if the sample is from the 60s). This is unexpected joy, brought on in waves in an attempt to forget the heartache.

I wouldn't change V36 in the original TGD because of how grizzly death has to be, but as a symbol of the constant need, struggle, and clairvoyance the human soul needs, Flashbulb of Tomorrow is breathtaking in a way The Blind Veil isn't meant to achieve.

Phi - Flashbulb of Tomorrow (TGD V36 Alt Take) (10/10)

Practiced Musicians still playing after their last tour.
Sitting on the schooner after exploring the Atlantic.
Asking a thousand times "did I do anything right" and being told two-thousand times "yes"
November 19, 2025 at 11:29 PM
I still love the ones that get chaotic (Casseopeia, Match in the Oil) and was pleasantly surprised with the more clairvoyant ones this deep in (Faulty Recall XII, Anemic), and it definitely deserves to be as long as it is. My experience could never nullify the achievement and personality it has.

That being said, holy fucking filler by dseign, every one song I really like has five or more that are immediately fast tracked out of my head, mostly weighed against Act I but there was a handful in the other two as well.

Phi - The Grand Decline (7/10)
Act II - (7/10)
Act III (8/10)

I've finally accepted The Grand Decline's purpose as a singular testimony within the census of Everywhere at the End of Time took. Phi's individuality in transmogrifying his samples for a perspective is unmatched.

Saka - Monomyth (8/10)

Skull shaking shit to stomp around to #9 of the year. Ifrit makes me do the Christian Bale face because of how well the sub is designed. Not a lot else to say.
