I totally forgot that game changer was originally stucky fanfic, but that makes a lot of sense for failing to invest the reader in the narrative lol fanfic often doesn’t translate to original characters for that reason. I can see Scott being Steve but Kip being Bucky doesn’t translate at all for me

Heated rivalry is different characters from game changer though I’m not sure which fanfic it was originally!! But yes they adapted it into a show and I’ve heard it’s pretty good

TO BE FAIR she kind of remembered that there should be some sort of conflict toward the end of game changers, but it was a bit of a slog before that ngl

I 100% understand why it was the book that was adapted. The author improved massively in her storytelling and I care about the characters, this time around. They have lives and motivations outside of “hot guy wanna fuck”
