I'm pretty happy with this. A Raspberry Pi 5 with both a @pimoroni.com NVME Base and the Pi52 ICE Tower Plus Cooler purchased from @thepihut.bsky.social. Now all I need is a case to put it in!

The bread machine cycle:

1. Hey, look at this bread machine, we haven't used it for years. Let's make bread!

2. OMG this bread is just so delicious!!!

3. OMG I just ate 4000 calories of bread, hide the bread machine and forget it exists.

One advantage of open source software is that you have the ability to find and fix a problem yourself, which can be really satisfying. However, often you just ... wait for somebody else to fix it. So anyway, the latest Pico 2 micropython firmware has fixed the SD card on my Pico-ResTouch-LCD-3.5 😀

Had a bacon and fried egg sandwich and the egg yolk exploded and went all down my arm, and I didn't mind at all. Glorious!

Years ago, I wanted an ISDN line. Just when it became cheap enough, Cable internet came and offered 4 times the speed for a 1/4 of the price. Similarly, it is now cheap and easy to get a VOIP telephone with tons of features - just as everybody is stopping using land lines. Still got one though 😃

Just completed my regular sweep of the radiator thermostatic valves to turn them back down. My suggestion of a change request system did not go down well.

I realised the network dropping out was due to the high traffic at 4am when all my backups kick in. Anyway, I have moved the server to a different switch port and last night no drop out.🤞

I migrated some VMs from Xen to Qemu/KVM and they stopped working over night. I angrily went down to reboot the server but it turned out to be a dodgy connection to the switch. The migration continues...

The circle is complete. Started with KDE about 20 years ago, then switched to Gnome, Xfce, and then Mate. Now, back to KDE. Just installed it in my new laptop and it is rather nice.

Fix behaviour of CALL.SIL opcode by leighbb · Pull Request #1 · tomm/ez80
CALL.SIL does not exhibit the same behaviour as, for example, LD.SIL A,(Mmn), in that it will not replace the top 8 bits of the 24-bit address with MBASE. Update build_call() to use env.advance_imm...

I love the Linux bridge vlan functionality and I've cooked up a very rough patch for libvirtd to let you put each virtual machine on a different (or more than one) vlan using nothing more than a single iproute2 bridge. Now to do a bit more testing.
