In 2026 theres like no reason to get iffy about platform? Since most games come out on all platforms and have minimal differences. That being said if a game is bad on one platform then yeah you should avoid if you can help it. (this is a jab at the switch)

Almost like JRPGs being made by Japanese people has significance with the style? Not to say that non JPN people cant make JRPG. *cough cough Expedition 33*. But the style comes from Japanese culture and story telling. Also anime RPG isnt a good term either since most of these games are not anime.

As long as it doesnt affect the quality of the audio too badly, that doesnt sound awful.

I was one of those people that clowned on the game when it came out… the common excuse of cringy dialogue, woke etc. granted i never played the game to actually develop my own opinion, so like idk? Its on sale for $40… so i might as well try it and find weather its actually as bad as people say!

Correlation does not equal causation, just cause LCD screens replaced CRTs doesn’t mean these techniques were lost.. artists just got better at it cause technique naturally grows over time when you develop understanding of the medium.

Sorry for popping off like that, for the record I’m not saying don’t be cautious about obvious or proven usage of AI. I too am annoyed with the AI slop barrage on steam and other platforms, i also dont like it when indie devs are accused of using AI when theres no concrete proof.
