Wow. Trump’s racism is literally boundless. It’s obscene that he reaps the benefit of a Supreme Court he stacked, and whose members he got to choose because he cheated his way to "winning" his first term. All of this is utterly criminal, especially now, but here we are.

He missed the fact that his arbitrary firing of innocent workers has let us know that being passive does not ensure our safety. Since the consequences of silence or open resistance are the same, we now have permission to speak out, and by so doing, our numbers are revealed. Clearly, the fight is on.

The blizzard of executive orders signed by Trump mirrors the Heritage Foundation wish list. We've all had access to the written Project 2025 for more than a year now, so how could we have been so unprepared to fight it? It's pathetic; every day we lose even more moral ground, apparently forever.

All his life, DJT has tried (and failed) to gain his father's approval. Years ago his dad's real estate empire was taken to task for refusing to rent to Black people, and Trump has finally fixed that admonishment by deleting any curbs to pure racism. At long last, his Dad would be so proud of him.

Those who voted against Harris had no idea what an “oligarchy” is, even as they voted for it. The failure of our education system to reach the willfully ignorant is the tell of our era, allowing the greedy to easily manipulate them against their own self-interest. It’s tragic, but here we are.

The media said there were all five living presidents in attendance today at the funeral, but they were wrong; Trump is not, and never will be, a real president, only a fraud and a con man, a walking noisemaker whose limitations have been exceeded most of his life. As DJT himself would say, "Sad."

It behooves all of us to keep a close eye on JD Vance, because the ongoing level of rage and dissolution of the soon-to-be president is clearly not sustainable for four years. As always, follow the money, and the donor trail leads to Vance, not the figurehead.

Just so we’re clear, even consensual sex with a minor is still statutory rape. The Speaker of the House, who would be two heartbeats away from the presidency, actually wanted a credibly accused child sex trafficker, drug abuser, and rapist to be our next Attorney General. Just let that sink in.

Watching the House of Representatives failing to pass a continuing resolution to forestall a government shutdown caused by an unelected rich maniac. This insanity is, in equal measure, both spectacular and appalling.

Wow. RFK Jr is petitioning the FDA to revoke approval of the Salk vaccine for polio. REVOKE IT!?! I grew up when polio was still a very active disease, and some of my friends ended up in iron lungs, and/or crippled. That anyone would risk the lives of millions of kids (and adults) is appalling.

We console one another by saying in two years we’ll re-take Congress and the Senate. But the fact that millions of our fellow Americans value the cost of eggs over the safety of women is too alarming to wait two years to fix. Why is this so hard?

It’s difficult to imagine how many people had to be shorted proper compensation for their insurance claims in order to arrive at a profit total in the hundreds of billions, but it must be appalling, if not outright criminal.

For all his faults - and Kennedy had many - we as a nation lost our future on November 22, 1963. The raw enmity that assassination revealed, the actual fatal consequences of hatred in action, have proven to be the paradigm for the angry white thugs who are exemplified by our current president-elect.
