‪Or they don’t take into account the location. Small apartment downtown next to a metro station is not the same as a small apartment in the middle of car centric neighborhood away from downtown.

One issue is the REM is not integrated into the neighborhood, it’s on the other side of a 6 lanes boulevard. In Europe it would be dead center. Same with condos and commercial properties all shoves into the side. Everyone ends up using their cars anyways because there’s no community.

The crossing used to be under the bridge though. While it was closed when the river floods in the spring, it was better. The light cycle give 100% priority to cars with no stage crossing.
