Thank you so much, hope you don't mind me asking here(my reply on x got a bit mixed up!). Moderna JN.1 was the only one available when we got ours privately a few weeks ago; looking at the charts, is it correct that it is the least effective for current strains? Will it provide any benefit? Thanks!🙏

Dearest Niall, Was waiting for this one today, so hard. Please take care, with such a heart rendering time w/ Big T, his connection w/ TIna, Kerry & all the others, you need to know you do everything you can & hopefully you can be at peace a bit & get some rest & recuperation however you can.❤️

Absolutely true! Bookshop dot org seems to already be too big & too reliant on single monopolizing sources - more independent distribution networks need to be built, & more importantly, supported, in order for queer & any/all marginalised work to continue to reach folks.

This is because in both the US & UK they only take supply from two monopolising wholesalers who require terms & discounts that small/indie publishers & distributors just can't meet. They are better, but still restricting indie pubs/supply & are creating a smaller monopoly on the ethical market.

Please post more about this if & when you can! Appreciate there is so much more going on, but this will be a tragedy in so many ways, & truly symbolic of much else. Re-writing (& selling off!) history, (though history is always only one of many stories), has such dire consequences. Thank you.

Yes, completely appreciate all this, true & valid. It just is going to take some time, & at the moment, when time is of the essence, whether it is for political/social organisation, or for tracking ongoing health issues, such as covid & bird flu, communicating where & when you can can be valuable.

There are sizeable communities of minority & disabled groups on Twitter who have built good networks & may not have resources(time, energy)to re-build here. They are important to participate in, & for info re:health/science/equity for all. I hate using it but for now checking in still feels essential.

The Smithsonian has already begun to remove webpages of DEAI info & updated pages to remove any references to DEAI. Whether this is part of a process of protection, or the beginning of capitulation is hard to know.💔
