I haven't seen the original film on which it's based, but it's a fascinating story that unfortunately gets a bit lost in the third and final act.

Is the acting lacking or is it too rushed? A shame, it could have been better.

A very intense and painful drama where silences speak louder than words.

Famous Daniel Day-Lewis, the young director's father, is excellent in his role.

The true story of thief Jeffrey Manchester. It seems like a comedy, but it's actually a sad film that makes you angry because of the protagonist's almost always bad choices. Channing Tatum does well in his ambiguous role, but the locations and supporting actors are a bit too fake.

An interesting documentary, but perhaps incomplete. There are some omissions that you can feel. At one point, it even takes an anti-leftist political turn (?)

A strange comedy, very American, too American, with nothing noir about it and a plastic feel. The plot could have been interesting, but it was wasted by a script and lines that were too basic. The actors were like in a commercial. The various little gags aren't funny, but maybe Americans will laugh.

A very funny noir comedy with a deep plot. The locations are stunning, and the actresses, including the director, are excellent. It's hilarious, there's a touch of horror, and a touch of French eroticism. Energetic, youthful, and fresh, like a kiss in the dark.
