It is certainly worrying. There's a real lack of knowledge out there about how to care for them, the need to cycle tanks, etc. These are precious creatures which need love, proper care and knowledge.

Axolotls are "forever young". Unlike other amphibians, axolotls keep their adorable juvenile features, like their frilly external gills, for life. They never "grow up" into a land-dwelling adult form and remain aquatic, adding to their unique charm. #axolotls #axolotlsofbluesky

Axolotls should be kept in species-only tanks. Fish may nip their gills or be eaten, causing illness. Plecos, catfish, and snails can harm or block digestion. Crayfish and crabs may injure them. Only Cherry and Ghost shrimp are safe, though they may still become snacks. A peaceful, solo tank is best

We've moved our leucistic babies into bigger containers today. They're doing great!
Note that axolotls are cannibalistic and if you put them together and they're significantly different in size, they may well have a chew on gills and legs.
