Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney is planning to visit Mexico on Sept. 18, according to a person familiar with the matter, as he seeks to boost trade and strengthen relations with the country amid punishing US tariffs.

Canada lost the most jobs since January 2022, and excluding the pandemic, it's the largest drop in seven years. Job losses were concentrated among youth, and their employment rate is now the lowest since 1998 ex-Covid. By @rtkwrites.bsky.social for @bloomberg.com:
