No, stack-based language, as in PostScript. As in having RPN constructs in the language, as well as explicit stack-manipulation operators (exch, dup, pop, index, copy, roll et al)

Why do lambdas (nameless functions) have an entirely different form from named functions? The body in the first is a single expression, in the second is a sequence of statements.

Fun fact: Python syntax makes it impossible for functions with statement bodies from being included in expressions.

All attacked by Israel; only one still alive.

Now you’re just trying to be inflammatory.

I’m talking about fully stack-based, like PostScript. With RPN and everything.

You’ve heard of them now. The rest is up to you.

Trying to get their voices heard.

Examples: Gideon Levy (reporter for Haaretz); Ori Goldberg; Rabbi Alissa Wise.

OCaml doesn’t seem to be stack-based.

You’re using “Israeli” as a synonym for “Zionist”.

There are some Israelis (admittedly in the minority) who would disagree with that.

Haven’t heard of that one.

The primary support for Israel comes from fundamentalist Christians, not Jews.

This support doesn’t actually make any rational sense in terms of power politics, strategic interests etc. It all seems to be tied in with religious doctrine.

The anti-slavery movement arose out of a basic concern for our common humanity, not from any religion. None of the major religions had anything bad to say about slavery, as witness the centuries that their practitioners happily put up with it.

Abolitionism: humanism >> religion

I have watched all the “Thin Man” films, and found them all funny.

Others may differ ...

Dylan Moran as Bernard Black. Wonderful.

And don’t forget Bill Bailey was in there as well. I think that’s where I first discovered him.

If things do happen for a reason, what exactly is that reason?

Pessimist: glass is half-empty.

Optimist: glass is half-full.

Microsoft Excel user: glass is January 2nd.

Here in 🇳🇿, we have, for the first time I can remember, a Government (right-leaning, left) that wants to blame the previous administration (left-leaning) for an economic mess that they don’t seem able to make better.

That is, when they’re not claiming that they are making it better.

“Never again” was supposed to mean “never again for anybody”, not “never again for the last lot of victims, it’s OK if it’s a new lot”.
