I have failed in the eyes of the #Debian purest. Sound was absolute shit on Trixie install. Followed all forum advice etc, to no avail. Don't have the time or inclnation to piss around finding a solution. Reinstalled #Mint, allbeit #LMDE. Everything 'just works'. Debian & I don't play well together.

Hoping that l'ex has not thrown out the two boxes of old computer bits & bobs I had at the house. I'm keen to build another PC from scratch. Nothing fancy, just used & reused parts & whatever I can beg, borrow or steal. I think that it'll be just the project that I need to help kickstart my brain.

Sound/Bluetooth is piss poor on my #Debian box. Was perfect under #LinuxMint. It just worked! As I watch a lot of TV on my PC rather than the télé, I really do need for it to work. Considering a move back to the safety that is Mint. #linux 🐧
