Here is a macro I took of a 1991 HP silicon wafer showing detail of one of the 150 memory chips that were never cut after photolithography was completed.

The color is not a filter but just how the wafer refracts light.

The FLP02 has arrived! Let the build begin! So glad I got the 256 GB of RAM a few months ago.

Remember this wretched piece of junk? After several months of putting it off, the total restoration is now complete. I had restored the internals and straightened out the chassis earlier, and finally got the case refurbished, removing deep dents and old paint and finishing up with a fresh paint job.

Newly posted restoration content. Recently, we received a CMC-1417AE VGA monitor that would not stay on. It was an easy fix, but getting to the faulty component was the most tedious part.

Whoa, look at what just arrived. We've been looking for one of these for a while. This is a DRC-1311 color monitor that was sometimes sold with the Model D. It's very rare because it was so much more expensive than the usual DR-1240 monochrome that is so ubiquitously associated with the Model D

New web content posted! The Fortiva 3000 was a rare late-model Leading Edge 486-based computer. Not much documentation about this computer is out there, but we can tell it was a budget-based computer intended to take up as little desk space as possible.

Watching your Lisa teardown today, there are these offset screwdrivers that are really helpful for tight spots. I got these at Autozone or Advance Auto Parts.

I love to improve user experience and add new web features to the website. I've redesigned the restorations section to get rid of the multiple pages and will have it layed out like a book that you can thumb through. One minor bug to fix prior to rolling out later this week.
