Our Community Woodland is on Fairspear Road in Leafield, Oxfordshire (grid reference SP313155). We maintain the Woodland at monthly workparties and arrange regular educational events.
Spotted yesterday on remaining trunk of pollarded ash (2019), newly emerging bracket fungi, possibly Inonotus hispidus, and variety of honey fungus, Armillaria species, which usually burst straight out of the trunk in big clusters + little holes, most likely where wood boring beetles have emerged.
