Right but keeps Boston open for expansion? Though I'd imagine Houston would've been a pretty penny for expansion too. Make it make sense. The whole thing is ridiculous.

Expansion money has to be the reason. Way more money for the other owners from expansion fees than relocating an existing team?

The free agent threat shouldn't be a concern. He will have been here for the entirety of his prime. If they don't even have a single, long playoff run by then, it's better that he goes, and the Leafs start over. The access is a thing but what is that worth? The Leafs don't give any info anyway!

I would have hoped that Jonas Siegel would. At this point we might have to hope for Feschuk or Simmons to light a fire like they have in the past. It's bizarre how Matthews is treated.

The obsession with "200ft play" and Matthews still appearing to be great defensively insulates him from the degree of criticism he deserves, provided he's healthy. This team is mediocre at best if he's not the best goal scorer in the league vs a knockoff Barkov that we've seen this year.

How could they be any worse with Marlies up to replace Domi, Joshua, Maccelli, Blais, etc? It would send a message to the vets, and maybe provide a spark. Or they get killed again anyway. At least it would be something! This team is infuriating to follow.

That's pretty damning for a supposed top end, veteran dman. Not exactly great for Cowan either but he hasn't even played 20 games in the league.

Can we get a slightly longer gif? The turnover by Domi puts McCabe in a tough spot, resulting in the penalty. Domi is such a liability right now.

I don't blame you one bit! I'm Canadian and have lived in CT for the last 18 years. Dozens of trips home in that time with no issue. We are not testing the border for anything. The idea of dealing with someone on a power trip at the border that can ruin my life in an instant isn't super appealing.
