I'm halfway through #MoonRiver and while it's enjoyable, they're committing what I consider to be a major soul-swap faux pas. In the "see their original faces" scenes, the characters change outfits. It's WRONG. She should still be dressed as the prince. He should be in a eunuch outfit. I hate this.

I must lobby for A Dream Within A Dream! I had to force myself to stop watching every night so I could get a few hours sleep.
There was ridiculousness, there was intrigue, there was pining, there were fabulous outfits, there were so many charming secondary characters... and there was Liu Yuning.

One of my all time favourites, the #cdrama To Ship Someone was such a blast to watch as a former fic writer and forever sailor of hopeless ships. Such a hilarious show!

I really want to watch the #twdrama Had I Not Seen The Sun but i have a heavy work week so heavy drama is not a good idea.
Instead, I started the boxing #jdrama I Wanna Punch That Scumbag! and will put off the trauma-drama until the holidays.

I have been watching the best bits of Secret Life of my Secretary and being at 😍 at Jin Ki Joo and Kim Young Kwang. I adore them.
As a result I have decided that it's finally time to watch the #kdrama Walking on Thin Ice for more KYK - complete vibe shift but I'm enjoying it.

I have been watching the best bits of Secret Life of my Secretary and being at 😍 at Jin Ki Joo and Kim Young Kwang. I adore them.

Several stood out this year, but Koshiba Fuka is definitely a standout because of her wonderful performances in Kanojo wa Kirei Datta (which I finally watched) and Watashi no Otto to Kekkon Shite (Marry My Husband JP 2025).

#EYDC2025 Day 2 - Favourite New to Me Actress.

Not including drops, rewatches, and the four I'm working through right now, I've watched more #cdrama (38) than #kdrama (35) or #jdrama (27).
However, I watch a lot of 12-18 minutes per episode cdramas so I'm sure that in terms of hours, I spent a lot more time with kdrama characters.

I binged through Would You Marry Me over the weekend and I have thoughts.
First thought: it was fine. A simple romance #kdrama with no grasp of linear time (as if that all happened in three months 🤣🤣) and tropes layered on top of tropes. Hardly groundbreaking but I smiled a lot. 1/3

Need to take a break from #ShadowLove because my brain is all jangled and that doesn't work with the story pacing.
I think this is why I struggle with #cdramas - I get scatterbrained and need fast paced media for a bit, but then I've lost momentum and have a hard time getting back into shows. Sigh.

I'm finally getting around to watching The Princess Royal and I'm constantly surprised at how much I'm enjoying it given my history of hating palace intrigue #cdramas.

On a mini #cdrama tear this long weekend and just hit gold with the incredibly soapy Sinful Marriage. It had every plot and trope under the sun but also fun performances and a surprisingly endearing hate to love story. I may have swooned just a little.

Some story arcs were frustrating but the core was strong and so good. Marvelous performances from the leads.
The hardest part for me was having to stop watching during episode 8 to make dinner. Couldn't have timed that worse!
