The other option is I can keep on doing what I'm doing, maybe grab a second m.2 for this laptop and make that entirely Linux based and see what that does for me for both school and streaming, but it's just a lot of decisions to make

I happen to like a lot of the people I've met through Twitch and want to continue being able to go live or do little collab streams when I can and Apple computers (given their market share) tend not to have as many games work on them, but I also do happen to like the Apple ecosystem for productivity

Given that I had planned to make my current laptop a Linux machine anyway given my grievances with Windows I knew I was going to lose access to some titles, but given that I don't know how these machines handle stream encoding whilst gaming I don't know if this would effectively end my time online

This would give me access to some very powerful hardware that would likely last me the next decade of my life, but it would mean (outside of using 3rd party service and hoping they work) the majority of my Steam library would no longer be accessible to me 2/
