When I was in school we learned every detail about how our state govt. functioned in a state history class. Excellent research training in high school
and of course college. However, the only detailed US government classes I got were in college.

I think we’d find that the lack of required civics and government courses, explosion of info sources, and resulting lack of journalistic rigor are problems. Mainstream media, has lost its courage, and many other “news” sources never took a journalism ethics or law class.

Interesting question. It would be possible to structure an experiment asking basic policy questions of people in different age groups right now. Could explore correlations between knowledge and age/politicalID/news source.

And that young members of the military frequently meet criteria for SNAP????

Name it No Kings Hall. Name each room for someone who pushed to save democracy during this time. Hold the trials of those who are now violently violating our Constitution and people. After that? Anything that makes us a more perfect Union.
