Maybe it’s time a few legal hurdles are put in place for pet ownership; they need to be in place BEFORE taking on a pet, not after as that will just generate unscrupulous & cruel behaviour. I’m in process of adopting an older animal & the shelter insists on a sign off from my Vet.
