Reactivated my account because the perspective that’s needed most right now is that of a 46 year old white man in Portland, Oregon.

What is one single actual benefit of being on bsky? And don’t say “community” or whatever because everyone here is posting as the absolute most joyless, insufferable version of themselves

It’s cool that we live in a time when the primary form of intellectual and political discourse is podcasting and the conceit of every single popular podcast is “The host is dumb as shit and the guests gleefully come down to his level.”

The Neil Young/Pearl Jam album Mirrorball turns 30 this week; it’s one of my favorite records.

A while back, Eric Ambel and I got together with some friends at his studio in Greenpoint and recorded a couple of songs from that album.

I’m the Ocean/Downtown split single coming soon.

The new Live Wire is streaming today and will be on NPR this weekend. Features Hanif Abdurraqib, Kaveh Akbar, Anis Mojgani and myself from a gig we did in Portland last October. It's good imo.

Got to talk with Mike Watt for today's Watt From Pedro Show.

I'm grateful for a lot in my "music" "career" but knowing that The Literal Mike Watt appreciates my work, and getting to call Watt a friend and chat with him on his show every so often, that's right up there

Me listening to a Springsteen song about street racing: Incredible. Devastating. This is the most romantic thing I have ever heard.

Me listening to people actually street racing two blocks from my home: You pieces of shit.
