He has some known disabilities and almost certainly some unknown. Whether they will be invisible or develop later, will be seen. And we don't even know what the repercussions will be for growing inside a corpse. Man has played God, and now we have a traumatized family and an unknown ripple effect.

Thus, the solution. Keep the corpse functioning and see if Chance, still a fetus at that point, stays alive. And horrifically, it semi-worked. He was harvested from his mother's corpse because she was rotting. 🧵

Then, "pro-life" - referred to from here as pro-birth - legislation struck. Since Chance had a "heartbeat," doctors were left to wonder how to handle this new scenario. A dead mother, yet an "alive" fetus. Too vague laws and too high penalties didn't help. 🧵

While horrific and devastating, two deaths would have been natural and "normal," though she didn't even have to die. Doctors didn't treat her - whether because they didn't believe her or thought they treated her "well enough," doesn't matter. This was a preventable scenario. 🧵

I don't know what will happen to special education programming, but I feel it's best to be prepared. Even if we lose it, it will come back and if you have those documents, it'll likely be easier to resume their programming.

While Trump can't dissolve the department of education without congress, he can and has cut a significant amount of employees (53% so far). Among other things, they disburse special education funding and help enforce special ed law. 2/?
