Now when people say that Pam Bondi learned nothing in law school, we can correct them by informing them that she learned how to glue her argument points into a manila folder. Professional Responsibility slid right off, but that lesson stuck.

Reuters photographer Jonathan Ernst noticed that Bondi flipped open a file during the Senate hearing and he zoomed in.

Inside were her crib notes for attacking the senators.

The GOP now practicing Cliff's Notes Fascism

In other words, under oath Bondi was purely a performance.

When you have to deploy someone from a conservative think tank to write an opinion piece that argues that, actually, that Hegseth speech wasn't so bad really, that means you know that it was really fucking bad.

Well known fact that there are no children in cities. Any children you think you see are crisis actors. Do your own research!

Its not lost on me that the conservative bugaboo for years was federal troops marching in their states and cities and its the first thing Trump reached for once in power

If U.S. states have any degree of sovereignty, if there’s any states’ rights at all, it is the right not to be invaded by the armed forces of another U.S. state.

This post has aged so well that people keep asking it if it's had work done.

Say what you will about this, the dumbest, cruelest timeline, but you have to admit it’s going to be fun watching law schools fight over the hottest young scholars specializing in (checks notes) interstate compacts and the Third Amendment.

I'm sure this is just a coincidence, but the last time I sensed that kind of resentment directed at the prospect of a woman taking up space where someone thought an exceedingly fit man should be, I was in a very old-school gay bar.

Does anyone know how the Transgender for Everybody program works? Can’t wait until they launch the TFE website so we can all know whether we qualify.

NEW: Hawaii's Supreme Court keeps releasing opinions that denounce the U.S. Supreme Court.

The latest? A new ruling that requires the police to record all interrogations from now on.

The author took it as an opportunity to say Hawaii's court will protect due process—while SCOTUS isn't:
Hawaii Supreme Court Expands Rights of Defendants, and Once Again Rebukes SCOTUS - Bolts
Hawaii justices ruled that their state constitution requires police to record interrogations. And they vowed to protect due process for Hawaiians—unlike, they said, the Roberts Court.

I've known Chris since we had tiny kids in daycare together. He's currently my state rep and I could not POSSIBLY be more excited to support him for Congress.

I come from generations of freedom fighters who taught us to fight oppressive forces. Whether it’s fighting for a livable wage, to make housing affordable for all, or stopping the genocide – I’m answering the call of my forbearers. I'm Chris Rabb, and I’m running for Congress.

I have been trying to convince myself for days to do my ACTUAL work, and not to delve into whether both this and the Jimmy Kimmel thing amount to tortious interference with contract, and who the proper defendants would be.

As long as we’re talking about correlations, my hypothesis is that there’s a real strong one between regime apologists and people with an abusive parent or spouse. Maybe now that we’ve solved the autism we can get on that.
