I gave up on this rescue a dozen times a day for the first week. At almost 71, I told myself I cannot handle 50 pound puppy craziness. Not unlike hitting the wall with my writing. And then, the sweetest dog emerged and I see who she can be. Say hello to Marigold.

I loved that it took all of my attention and that I loved it almost as much as the book!
