I agree with that theory, for sure. In my opinion, I don’t think it should be based on record sales alone, for sure. Bands like Maiden have sales and influence, though. I think the Hall puts too much influence on record sales. Heck, I’d rather have Phish inducted than Foreigner.

I appreciate the band has fans. I guess the point was how much any band translates on a global stage and how influential they are. The Rock Hall does a poor job of recognizing influence and global reach, in general, but Phish lacks those two things. That doesn’t mean they make bad music though.
