Oops, I guess I should have read the whole article; the bill establishes a whole series of “Discrimination Prevention Coordinators”. But the whole article aside from this one paragraph is about alleged antisemitism, and it’s clear that’s what was driving this bill.

From that article, a perfect example of someone expressing an antisemitic statement precisely because of the deliberate conflation (by Zionists!) of Zionism & Judaism (that’s assuming this claim is true; that’s not certain, because Zionists make up stories like this).

Unsaid is that most of the alleged antisemitism comes from the conflation of anti-Zionism with antisemitism. There is very real antisemitism, which is no more prevalent than other forms of racism. And, unfortunately, some of it is created by that very same conflation.

If "California is taking action to confront hate in all its forms," as Newsom says, why did it establish an “Antisemitism Prevention Coordinator” but not also one against Racism, others for Homophobia, Transphobia, anti-Muslim, etc.? Antisemitism is not the only form of hate!

Surely this is one of the most telling things that has happened in the last two years — a Holocaust Museum posting but then deleting a graphic saying “Never Again” is supposed to apply to everyone. Every non-Jew (& every Jew with any sense of morality) should be appalled by this.

Now, in Montgomery County, Maryland, where the case originated, the results are in.

Only 43 families out of 160,000 students have exercised that new right.
