The dc occupation is not about stopping crime, it’s about intimating journalists, judges, and legislators. We need to call things as we see them. Peace isn’t war. Up isn’t down.

The revisions are BRUTAL. May dropped from +144K to just +19K. June? From +147K to +14K.

Excluding healthcare, the U.S. LOST jobs for three straight months: down 53K in May, 45K in June, and 300 in July.

The U.S. lost 26K manufacturing jobs in May and June, and 11K in July.

I was enough into superheroes that among the comics I taught as a prof were superhero ones—the few formally innovative ones I could find.

Now I can't stand to watch anything with a superhero in it. I get instantly bored.

It's a trope, a conceit, a rhetorical setpiece I think is played out.

YMMV.

We can only assume that Trump goes fully "on the fritz" here and has no idea what is being said to him, so he comes up with a random question in his head that simply involves himself and the State of Florida.

The creepy thing is that the fake question he comes up with _doesn't even make any sense_.

Multiple times, Trump is asked a simple question: how long the detainees in his new concentration camp will be kept there before they're deported to random foreign nations to suffer desperation, torture and death.

Trump—incredibly—believes he's being asked how long *he* will be spending in Florida.
