I know this comes up every damn election cycle, but I seriously think the one thing that would immediately bring down Trump and result in a massive turn against him by Republican politicians is if Texas flipped, even just once. Texas is literally the only reason Republicans have a chance in hell.

This is accurate. The GOP politicians have gerrymandered it so much that it can feel like a waste of time to vote for state and U.S. House seats, but local, state level and Senate seats are in play if people vote!

I have told people for years that Texas isn’t a red state. Texas is a state that doesn’t vote. If everyone in Texas votes, the state would be as blue as its state flower. (Note: the Texas state flower is the blue bonnet.)
