no, some people actually *can't*, or struggle a lot with it. someone could have processing issues, and might therefore struggle to make sense of images w/out that extra context. some neurodivergent people can find alt text significantly...

i'd love to go out in my front garden and do the same, could see a fair few more stars there, brighter too, but there's street lights and i'm not sure how they would impact the image. would also like to not be seen lol

been noticing them a whole lot more lately (thanks ulez!), decided to take my phone's astrophotography mode for a spin, ended up just lying down in our back garden for about half an hour. it was cold, and the floor is concrete so not that comfortable. worth it though, the sky is SO pretty

lol yeah our 5g is soooo bad, across both the networks i've been with (three & giffgaff who use the o2 network), in london i don't think i've ever had download speeds greater than ~90mbps, and upload speeds... best not to talk about those, jesus
