Looks like another person got himself in immigration trouble, which makes me think it might be timely to give some guidance on ways to mitigate this particular risk. The story is cut off but you see at the bottom of the screenshot where it says he had arranged something with his employer 1/

Yeah. At my first service I asked to disable the EULA because I want my car to just work when I turn it on. Reply: “it’s legally required”. Me: “maybe now I should tell you what I do for a living”. But: not the service tech’s fault, he didn’t set the policy.

The only thing I dislike about my current ride is probably common to all Genesis and likely all Hyundai vehicles (Genesis is the Lexus of Hyundai): the onboard computer system. It has a mandatory EULA that can’t be disabled and it overrides CarPlay for stupid SiriusXM sales pitches I don’t want.

Most EVs have a feature in the onboard nav system to locate the nearest public charger. I’ve done a small (5 hour) road trip in an EV and the charging wasn’t too annoying; it adds an extra 30 minutes per 3 hours is the thing to remember.

Home charging is like running your microwave overnight. Maybe you have time-based pricing; most chargers will let you choose your hours of charging. For installation your electrician should be able to handle that, and you can buy a charger rig on Amazon for cheap.
