A reference sheet of my OC, Renna. She is wearing two different outfits in the image.

She is fairly light-skinned, with long hair, with the front left side chopped off. Her hair is predominantly green, but turns to teal at the ends. She has freckles dotting her face, mostly on her cheeks and nose. She has a green scar on her lower left cheek, as well as in other places hidden by clothing, from sanitised ink during the events of Octo Expansion.

The outfit on the left consists of several pieces of in-game gear, those being the Knitted Hat, an oversized Moby Knig which is modified to have a turtle neck and thumb holes in the sleeves, and Arctic Duck Boots. She is also wearing a pair of beige jeans with turned up ends, as well as some large, round, dark red glasses.

The outfit on the right mainly consists of non-in-game clothes, though she is wearing the Punk Whites for boots. She is wearing a green and white striped jumper, medium denim jeans, and some large, round, dark green glasses.

Some facts are listed on the left side of the image, reading:

"The initial design (from March 6 2023, just over a month after her birthday, Feb 5!) was quite different from the Amelia we know today. Her Octoleet Goggles were permanently affixed to her face - a choice I didn't like, and walked back later. Her arm was merely a hand at this point, styled after the fingerless gloves worn by enemy Octolings, similarly to her hairstyle. While we're here, I think she has my second favourite hand/arm design overall.

This "Proto-Amelia", as I've taken to calling her in recent times, isn't the best in retrospect, but the foundation of today's Amelia is still clearly there. I still like her lol :)"

"Amelia's second incarnation was the longest lasting, being finished June 19 2024. More of her latest look begins to show through here; her purple eyes, her heavier-set build, and of course her cybernetic arm rather than just the hand (my least favourite of the three). Amelia, as a "character", evolved with me somewhat. There's always been a level of disconnect, but many of her traits mirror mine; when I broke out of my shell a little more, I began to write her more confidently in turn. Where "Proto-Amelia" pined with unrequited love, I let myself flirt with the idea of a greater connection between her and Callie here.

This is where I learned to love Amelia. (She didn't have a surname yet, else I'd specify "Amelia Ijikuri", but eh, whatever."

"And finally, here we are. The Amelia Ijikuri you know and (probably) love. The Annaki Choker Tee was swapped out for a Firewave Tee, the Moto Boots changed for Buckle-Down Boots, and she picked up and patched up some ripped jeans. I feel like this is where she truly came into her own; it's where I started building on her identity as a tinkerer, hence the new suspenders and belt, the leather glove(s) and the patched-up jeans. Day 8: World Octopus Day!

I have six octoling ocs (that I've shown here anyways), so I doodled all of them on one canvas!

Day 6: Post in the Plaza

Don't got time to make an actual plaza post so instead I've dug up five plaza posts I made in Aseprite first before moving them over, temp color palettes, random guidelines, and all.

Five of my old plaza posts in their states from before I put them in Splatoon! They are as follows:
1. My post from the 1st anniversary splatfest for Team Frye. Frye is sitting off to the side with a smug look on her face, saying "Clearly, you don't own an air fryer."
2. My post from the ice cream splatfest for Team Mint Chip. An octopus sits off to the side and says "This octo says: Mint doesn't taste like toothpaste... Do you not brush your teeth??" A second smaller phrase says "Have fun tho guys fr"
3. My post from the Zelda collab fest for Team Power. It's a from the front simplified drawing of Ganondorf. There is no dithering or full shapes at all except for his eyes and his secret stone.
4. My post from the money v fame v love fest for Team Money, although you can't tell that. It's a trophy with a heart on it with a coin within the heart. Right next to it, it says "Let's have some FUN!!"
5. My post from the first Springfest for Team Bunny. The art is pulled from the Superb screen from Rhythm Tengoku's Bunny Hop minigame. The text says "Go for a Perfect, Team Bunny!! Let's stick that landing!" with my signature saying "LegendOfRhythm says play Rhythm Heaven"
All drawings feature either dotted lines with numbers near them telling me how many pixels around I'd have to move, or colorful lines split in intervals of usually 10 pixels to do the same thing.
