Reminder: prioritising diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) doesn't mean you need to behave all lollipops, roses, and sunshine with everyone.

We call shit out as much as we call people in.

was recommended Six of Crows as a book.. Read it, loved it. Naturally I immediately put all books by the same author on hold at the library. Finished the Six of Crows duology and moved onto the Shadow and Bone trilogy.

Again, loved it.

When was the last time that you told someone in a position of power that you appreciated the organization's DEI efforts?

Do it now.

Does your org support ERGs? Trans employees? Holding firm on DEI?

If your organization is doing something well (if imperfectly), tell them. Today. One quick email.

I'm not sure anything brings out extremists harder than a perceived threat to their freedom of expression 😶

Y'all, hate speech isn't free speech. There is a difference, defining that isn't me censoring it.
Calling me names won't change it either.

We all have a voice and the power to use it to be heard widely, largely thanks to social media.

The consequence of this is the sheer volume of spread and how it impacts others.

Freedom of speech does not mean freedom to incite hatred or violence upon others. Even when that occurs incidentally.
