The Société de protection des forêts contre le feu (SOPFEU), in the French-Canadian Province of Quebec, has announced that they will be sending an additional 2 Canadair CL-415 “Super Scooper” Aerial-Firefighting Aircraft, to aid the Wildfire Effort in Southern California on January 15th.

The U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Treasury’s Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) has announced wide sweeping sanctions against entities and individuals connected to Nicolas Maduro and Venezuela’s energy and defense sector. We will detail these sanctions in subsequent posts.

Hundreds of Mexican Firefighters arrived both today and yesterday in Southern California, to assist with the ongoing Wildfires in Los Angeles County. Most are with the National Forestry Commission and the Civil Relief Corps, with others coming from the Mexican Army.
