I have degrees in accounting and math. The best undergrad class I took was a philosophy class. Final project was writing the tenets of your own personal philosophy. It made me dig deep into my beliefs, how they're formed, and why. It was transformative for me.

Love this seed seller! Their 'Togolese' hoary basil made my backyard smell fruity and sweet all summer and pollinators absolutely loved it. They have such a unique selection.

I've given out full size candy for 9 years now and our house is now part of the neighborhood lore. Older siblings tell younger ones about our house. Kids come because their classmates talk about us. It rules! The kids' excitement and joy is the best.

I'd start with your local county extension office. They usually have master gardeners in your area to provide help and answer questions. Local garden centers often have free seminars/classes too. Gardening groups on FB can be very helpful and generous with advice and seeds.

I feel like these folks lived in a different reality because in 2002, I avoided Walmart as much I possibly could because it was grim as hell. Not a single customer, or employee, looked like they wanted to be there.

I have three Gen Z sisters and this bullshit is the fucking worst. My 25 yo sister can't even get a goddamn interview in the 2+years since she's graduated college and it took her a year just to get a part-time waitressing job. Ol' Suz can fuck off.

You compromise on every issue and pretty soon, you have a party that stands for nothing. Why would voters vote for a party that doesn't stand for anything? And what you call a purity test, I call having some goddamn principles. You are arguing for the Democrats to be unprincipled.

What you're actually valuing is politeness and presentation. There was nothing civil about his words or the impact on the groups/people he targeted.

I was at Columbine and that song was sooooo terrible and constantly playing. You'd just be minding your own business, trying to just feel normal, and it would come on and slap you in the face. Thank God Sarah McLachlan got them to stop playing it.

The company my husband works for was a contractor for USAID. He and I both tell everyone we can about the devastating consequences of this. Even if we don't change some minds, we at least make some people squirm while they justify letting children starve.

I've encountered a ton of people in this industry as a school shooting survivor. They are just trying to make money and have zero interest in protecting kids. Most give terrible advice, don't have any relevant background, and blame victims. Just godawful from top to bottom.

I cross stitch and there's a popular pattern maker in Canada who sells patterns, cross stitch kits, and branded merch. She won't ship to the U.S. anymore and since most of her customers are American, her business may go under. I hate she may be collateral damage from this stupidity.

My brothers-in-law came up from Texas last year specifically to go to the Peach Festival in Palisade. They had one bite and said the trip was worth it. They ended up moving to Ft. Collins after that and I swear the peaches played a part in it lol.

My brothers-in-law recently moved here to Colorado from Texas because it was starting to feel very dangerous for them (they're gay and one is Mexican-American). They were very active in organizing/politics in Texas and they felt it was becoming a losing battle just from being outnumbered.
