#ourworldiswonderful; I leave you tonight with a shot taken way back in Feb 2021 when this scene presented itself as we climbed a steep path that clung to the steep side of valley. The trees above cast the shadows, and the valley below held a lively stream that had carved it over the centuries.
Sun rays cast a spectacular view of the trees through which they shine, where the mist creates a mysterious fan effect.

#ourworldiswonderful; a dull day today, so I leave you with a seasonal shot from an earlier January with the sunlight filtered through the trees by morning mist.
Frost coats the ground at the front left in this forest shot. But the bulk of the photo displays tall trees backlit by sunlight filtering through their branches and highlighted by the mist rising from the ground.

#ourworldiswonderful; this evening I leave you with a shot of mist among the trees of the Forest of Dean. A seasonal scene that often lasts only a few minutes, so I was lucky to catch this one.
Tall trees, some conifers with their foliage still intact, and others hardwoods bare of leaves but supporting ivy growth, stand close and let the sunshine filter through the mist that dwells among their trunks.
