I have moved from Love2D to Odin lang with Raylib, and it’s been magic. It’s like the comforts and api of love2d but in a modern version of c.
The whole build process is out of the box just one command, the language comes bundled with Raylib bindings.

A script and a storyboard seem to be to able to reasonably define a movie. There’s no such thing in games, maybe because they’re non-linear, more complex and more varied. The best way to explain a new game is to talk about the other games it’s based on.

Before Minecraft existed how would you create a blueprint for it? The process of creating its blueprint is prototyping/executing the game.
Without a top-down blueprint it’s hard to have standardized production processes.

Here’s a copy of the original research paper. The context was social policing, an area with too many variables interacting in complex ways, which lead to problems that could not be formalized without destroying their original nature.

Each wicked problem is unique, no way to generalize solutions, there’s no way to isolate them or provide a definitive formulation.
In my view, game design problems are wicked problems.

In the “wicked problems” design theory there’s no right or wrong solution, good and bad denotations come from specific subjective framings of the situation that the design problem is on.
