(2/2) Further, I have spoken to several practitioners here in NL who stated they would leave their current job if placed in a position where they had to work with clients receiving involuntary treatment. For them, it was a clear ethical issue. So we’d also be losing some great care providers.

While it’s not surprising, its nonetheless horrifying. I wouldn’t be surprised if all of Trump’s people see HIV/AIDS as “bad person disease” and/or something the US has somehow solved through being “the best.” Again, unsurprising, just sad as hell.

I feel this from time to time and unfortunately I don't have any real fix (pardon the pun) for it. It usually passes after a while, but will inevitably come back (for me). No advice, just solidarity.

(2/2) I am not disagreeing with folks that make this choice to avoid being triggered-- I celebrate choice! It's the moralizing of choice acting like recovery HAS to look this way that I feel is harmful. I had surgery this year and idk what I would have done without having Dilaudid in hospital!

I know this isn’t new for LE, but this reminds me of when Airbnb investigated if they were worsening the housing crisis and found that short-term rentals were not a major factor. So glad they did such a meaningful investigation!!!
