My grandmothers super secret recipe uses bisquick - so I can’t see how that’s any different than what your doing. Either way - good serious comfort food.

If you can’t find manicotti pasta tubes you can use lasagna noodles that have been softened and roll them up around the filling. That’s how I have done it.

Man - I just did the math on mine and it’s about 35 or so. My older sister still has my grandmothers and both are going strong.

Used to have lunch at a place where if they didn’t recognize you and you weren’t Asian speaking they would only allow you to order mild the first time - you had to earn moving up. Food was as good as any I’ve had in China or South Korea.

Generally Mexican I my house - tamales on Christmas Eve and Birria or carnitas on Christmas Day. Everything is actually better made in advance so prep is over 3-4 days. And I’m in KS so getting stellar tamales from someone’s abuela is super easy (only thing I don’t make myself)

Frozen peppers/onions with chicken sausage and a package of the finely sliced cabbage sautéed together with Cajun seasoning is quick / easy and affordable as well as healthy
