Physik-Nobelpreisträger Steven Chu:

“ I think we’re going to go over 550, maybe 600 parts per million… we’re going to go three degrees.”

Was hilft? Nur Anpassung + Carbon Capture, argumentiert er.

What is going to do if they don’t give him the Nobel Peace Prize?

Revoke their license?

Make Sweden the 51st State, just to annoy Norway?

Hit a bunch of bogeys in the direction of Oslo? 🏌️‍♂️

Can’t wait…

I’m not. 😉 But thank you for the great article!

Forgery wouldn’t work, as Paul Romer explains in detail.

LLMs could still invent citations, of course, so we’d need to get to a common understanding that only verified information can be trusted.

"None — repeat none — of America’s fentanyl has been found to originate from Venezuela. Yet Trump and Pete Hegseth, his compulsively strutting “secretary of war”, insist that the country is fuelling America’s opioid epidemic." Me on Trump's wag the dog script. www.ft.com/content/5b3e...

That’s why Nobel laureate Paul Romer (economics) argues that all documents need a digital signature, so that it becomes easier to verify what AI systems make up.

And here we go. I never wrote this article, and yet it is cited here.

And of course, it sounds so plausible, I seriously checked whether I had forgotten it, or the footnote was slightly wrong.

Trump is turning the US into half prison, half casino.

All banks want a piece of the Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac IPO but wrestle with the “unpredictability of Trump and the complicated nature of taking government-backed entities public…”

New data shows the ways millions of people have integrated AI into their everyday lives. Also, it suggests that for now at least, AI is an individual productivity tool — both at work and in our personal lives — rather than the broader workplace disrupter many in Big Tech predicted. on.ft.com/47cKBVN

“…an organized, systemitized campaign to delegitimatize, dehumanize, threaten, impede, obstruct, and physically assault…”

Fitting description – for the ICE campaign that Miller (and Vought) designed. He just got the victims wrong.

Stephen Miller: "If you can't see that since we've taken office, there's been an organized, systemitized campaign to delegitimatize, dehumanize, threaten, impede, obstruct, and physically assault ICE officers in their duties, then I can't persuade you of it."

Sounds reasonable, if labor-intensive for a small company. Good luck, and thank you for your reply!

How do you get around the Wikipedia problem? Some classifications may be contentious, after all. Are you moderating this somehow?

@kagi.com Your media outlet overviews are an excellent idea. This one regarding @npr.org needs an update, though.

NPR is funded by donations. “State Funded Media” is wrong – especially now that Trump has reversed supplementary funding already approved by Congress.

Empasis on “yet”. 👇

In all Western democracies, we see disenchantment with a system that used to guarantee a better future for each generation – and now fails to deliver.

In both Britain and France we are witnessing the agonies of electoral systems ill-suited to political fragmentation and changing voter behaviour. In Germany, for all the grumbling and the pearl-clutching over the Brandmauer, we're not there yet.
