Compared to the clowns they’re used to? They should be over the moon

The puka shell necklace is a nice touch

We just automatically assume the worst about anyone who disagrees about anything. Why do we jump to “Nazi” before “person who mostly agrees with me, but slightly differs on a few small things”?

Like if someone says, “I believe X”, instead of arguing for or against X, everyone just starts attacking like “only Nazis believe X” or “how dare you attack [community mostly opposed to X]!”

Oh I think it’s already here. I’ll see myself out.

I was referring to the people. The rats metaphor is because you’re angry at the people. Fine. You’re entitled to that. But it leads to bad strategy. These are people, not rats, and there’s an outcome where they could be useful to you and your goals

I’m not a guy, but all I’m saying is you have to choose between punishing people for their past behavior and incentivizing the behavior you want in the future. You can’t really do both. Republicans aren’t going to be shamed by Bluesky into doing the right thing.

You’re focusing too much on the rats and not enough on the ship. The individuals don’t matter. One person is exhibiting an example that if many others follow would lead to better outcomes. You’re only using rats as a metaphor because you don’t like them, but that is irrelevant

Do they spread tortured metaphors?
December 30, 2025 at 5:21 PM
You don’t, but it’s helpful if you want other rats to jump ship. The analogy doesn’t really work for this, but let’s assume the ship needs all the rats and when they all jump, the ship sinks

Problem is, you’re too good an analyst. You’d be able to tell the other D lines were going easy on them.
