This is historically relevant journalism. Unprecedented AFAIK. Episode 5 of this podcast exposé of one of the world's richest men.

Perfect vibes last night in the head shop parking lot in Newark Delaware.

Akshully (pushes up glasses) there are multiple reasons. Another is that Republicans want to deny this experience to lib kids

I'm a dem committeeperson. The fortunate part is there would be a much more high profile vote to elect new justices if the no's win this cycle, but we're still organizing and promoting this election, and we do have a lot of high-density, high-information neighborhoods across the state.

That's not the issue. The issue is getting people out to vote at all in this off brand ass election. They shouldn't exist: we should couple statewide elections (senate, president, etc)

Actually black folks do this with people they know all the time, in Philly at least. Its relatively common to see 2 cars stopped opposite each other on a local 2-way street: drivers straight visiting, catching up, etc. Other drivers will just wait behind them, for a time.
I like it, TBH

It's interesting seeing the different ways resistance has formed in different cities. Los Angeles Organized, Chicago Radicalized, and Portland Got Weird as Fuck. All 3 have had success unifying their respective cities.

I guess my point is there are multiple paths to ungovernability.

How do we speed buses up? There are plenty of tools already in the city's toolbox.

Just look at the 14th St busway.

The 14th Street Busway has been a smashing success: faster commutes, fewer crashes, calmer streets.

So why is Eric Adams blocking a similar plan for 34th Street?

Cities are developing a new approach to developing housing: Integrating it into mixed-use library projects. These investments improve neighborhood vitality, add housing & improve services.

In new research @urbaninstitute.bsky.social, I create a database of such projects & point to success stories ⏬
Aging Libraries Could Offer Cities a Unique Opportunity to Build New Housing While Improving Public Services
Since 2000, more than 1,800 apartment units have been built in combined library-housing developments. These projects not only address local housing needs but…

Or, there is no relieving congestion: it exists so long as car infrastructure exists.

The relief can come from minimizing who remains stuck in congestion.

My hot take is that e-bikes are 10x more transformative than electric cars but get 0.1x the coverage
