Yesterday, the President used Juneteenth to complain about "too many non-working holidays." The racist implications seem apparent to me. Black, Brown, and Indigenous holidays are excessive, but Eurocentric holidays celebrate the "greatness" of America.

I'll be interested in how Yair Golan affects the political climate in Israel. Netanyahu seems nervous about the critiques coming from the former high-ranking IDF general who is willing to call out the excesses of the current government.

The Democrats going to El Salvador to meet with Kilmar don't cause me fear. I'd be more fearful if no one were standing up for the hostages of this regime. Justice only makes the practitioners of white fragility afraid.
