whining about male loneliness is a right wing phenomenon. Left wing males if they're lonely understand why and don't resent women as if they're responsible for it. When someone says "male loneliness epidemic" they're talking about miserable conservative incels who repel women, not ALL men.

I got the same problem with Illustrator. I fucking hate what Adobe has become over the last few years. It's increasingly buggy and incompetent, all while they keep trying to force feed AI to the people it was stolen from. Seriously fuck adobe. I'd jump ship if I wasn't already 30 years into it.

I dream of jobs like that though. If some Medici rolled up tomorrow and went "here's $500k to draw jesus by Christmas 2026" I would be thrilled. And then they'd hate what I drew and that would thrill me too.

No it isn't. I admire what he did. I think it's a tragedy that he had to do it. I don't agree that he's some super smooth professional superhero with bulletproof integrity based on this act. He's just a man who did what he could when it was needed. The glorification is tacky and dangerous.

The point I was responding to was that he disarmed the shooter and then remained calm and didn't shoot him, which at the time couldn't be said was a stoic choice he made or just his bad luck the gun didn't fire. It wasn't possible to say whether he tried. My objection was to romanticising a tragedy.

I'm not diminishing his bravery, i'm just urging reason regarding what you believe was going through his head. You ascribed him a personality without evidence.

let's not grant him too much nobility without evidence. For all we know that's a shotgun that was empty and he may well have pulled the trigger hoping to kill him. The shooter seemed awfully calm walking away for someone facing what you assume was a loaded gun.

Look around you. I'd argue we're better now than we ever were in terms of outgrowing primitive tribalism and xenophobia, but the uneducated and ignorant are still the majority and they're exactly like the uneducated and ignorant of every past generation. What era was ever "better"?

I haven't in decades, and never showed them to my kids. They're the mcdonalds of entertainment. Formulaic and exploitative. People who feel warm about Disney are ignorant.
