Good to hear! My lad has been my constant companion on hunting trips for almost a decade and it’s dreadfully sad seeing his gradual decline. He still perks up when I get my gear together for an outing but ultimately is glad to curl up in front of the fire….

My cousin’s coming tomorrow for lunch, it’s an annual do. I’m cooking a venison and mushroom pie, leeky mash on top, purple sprouting broccoli and carrots. We’ll drink beer. Just about as vegetarian as you can get I reckon

You’re probably right there. We sold our business in March this year and are now kinda semi retired, feral pensioners (actually I don’t get mine til 2027). I know I was greatly relieved to be out of it when I saw a bunch of the new stuff😬
