There's really no point discussing Brexit. It was nearly 10 years ago and the fate of our country is now sealed. It would be only right for Farage to be out next (last?) PM so he can finally steer us off the edge of the earth.

Ultimately, the question of whether Donald Trump has more intellectual ability than an amoeba can be answered affirmatively based on the established scientific understanding of human brain function and biological evolution.

Perhaps he could extend that to explain that he has now grown up to become old and stupid.

I'd have thought multilingual skills should be applauded.

Of course those who support Reform only talk bollocks.

Something was and still is going on.

Goodness me ― now it turns out she didn't.🙂

Good to see the UK recognising the value of nationalised energy.

And on another topic, I wonder why the Chancellor has that huge black hole to deal with?

Where America goes the UK follows.

Labour's future? That's a bit of an oxymoron.

Perhaps we should have to offer them a package to reflect the value they have added over those years.

And we'll still spend 80% of the effort on the last 20% of the deliverable 😀

It's true that the BBC massively distorts the truth but the irony is that the distortions are almost invariably in favour of the right. The BBC created Farage. That's not just an opinion — it's in the statistics.

So the right is saying "the BBC lies" and the left can't defend the organisation.

It's the child taking the assets now the parent no longer has control.

Can someone please show me where to find "the free world".
November 11, 2025 at 9:38 AM
Funny thing is it's the far right who are trying to kill it—despite it arguably being the biggest promoter of Farage's career.

That might work for a chilly evening in California, but it's not realistic for a murky month in Manchester.

I can't do a before and after, because there is no after, but did my calculations based on kerosene and electricity prices in the UK and reasonable estimates for heat-pump CoP. The price per kWh is very simlar.
November 10, 2025 at 11:11 PM
But given the actuality of the BBC's obvious right-wing bias, I'm not terribly inclined to get behind them. Of course, I am irrelevant 🙂
November 10, 2025 at 6:00 PM
The reason of course is that only right-wing opinions matter in today's world. We all know that 50% of what Trumps says is a lie, but if he says the BBC is bad, we all have to jump!

The irony is that they got caught out on one of the rare occasions they weren't enthusiastically supporting the crazy right.
