Day 13 of #teach180 #iteachphysics: ALERT ALERT! If you use standards-based grading, and you can't use an outside grading program due to weird state laws, I can help! lerner180.posthaven.com/day-13-my-da...
Day 13: My Day Was All Spreadsheets
Listen, I know I still taught AP Physics 2 on Friday. Yes, I know it was boring. I sped through so much vocabulary that I know most of my students knew from middle school. It's about mechanical...

And to @lernerphysics.bsky.social original point, it sets up an unhealthy social media dynamic where folks only show off their glowing successes. 🎢
I need to do more of this! I get hung up on sharing things that I’m not yet completely satisfied with, when really the feedback and ideas would be helpful both for myself and others. 🎢
6. Use places like this for feedback. Feel free to post what is a work in progress or something that doesn't work at all. We get better not just from unqualified success but from showing our work. Thanks @treddtaylor.bsky.social @barnettdreyfuss.bsky.social

Presenting at AAPT gave me my identity as a physics teacher. I found community and learned so much by condensing my thoughts into a short talk. Your view as a practitioner is vital. 11/10 highly recommend. #ITeachPhysics
#ITeachPhysics AAPT is starting to solicit session and workshop proposals for the 2024 summer meeting in Boston! Shoot me a DM if you have ideas!

Let me follow the lead of @jleescience.bsky.social and talk about what I learned at #AAPTSM23 #ITeachPhysics. Expect a thread I add to from time to time.
